Our Grants
The Trustees prefer applicants to follow these guidelines.
Our grants will be made annually in March.
- Grants are made to relieve elderly people or persons suffering from mental or physical illness of any description who are in need.
- To be eligible for a grant the beneficiary must reside in the area as outlined on the Grant Area Map.
- Applications will only be considered from recognised charitable organisations and groups on behalf of the beneficiary.
- Applications for sums of less than £200 will not be considered.
- The Trustees will not consider the repayment of debt or projects that are normally required to be funded by Local or Central Government.
- To be considered for a grant in March applications must be submitted by 31st January.
- These Grant Applications will be considered at the Meeting of Trustees in February.
- Any Grant Applications received after the 31st January will not be considered for a Grant in March.
- The decision of the Committee is absolute and final.
- Applications are only accepted on the Laywell Matthey Trust grant application form.
